Salary/Stipend
- Pay Scale: Rs. 35,400/- to Rs. 1,12,400/-
- Level 9 of the Pay Matrix under ORSP Rules, 2017
- Usual Dearness Allowance as sanctioned by the Government of Odisha from time to time
- Other allowances as may be sanctioned by the Government of Odisha

✅ Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or other qualification having English/Odia as an Honours subject
- Adequate knowledge in Computer Application
- The degree must be from a recognized University
- Either English or Odia must be studied as Honours subject
- Age Limit:
- Minimum Age: 21 years (must not be born later than 12/01/2005)
- Maximum Age: 42 years (must not be born earlier than 13/01/1984)
- Age Relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC & Women: 5 years (upper age limit: 47 years)
- Age Relaxation for PwDs (40-50% disability): 10 years
- Age Relaxation for SC/ST/SEBC PwDs: 15 years (cumulative – 10 years for PwD + 5 years for category)
- Age Relaxation for Ex-Servicemen: As per State Government provisions
- Age Relaxation for Group-C and Group-D employees of High Court: 5 years (if otherwise qualified)

- Selection through four-stage examination process
- Stage 1 – Preliminary Examination/Test: 150 marks, 2 hours duration
- 150 Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions
- Subjects: General English, General Knowledge, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude (based on Graduation Course)
- Negative Marking: 0.5 (half) mark deducted for each wrong answer
- Qualifying Marks: 33% for SC/ST category, 40% for other categories
- Court has discretion to fix cut-off mark based on vacancies and number of qualified candidates
- Stage 2 – Main Written Examination: 300 marks, 5 hours duration
- Paper 1: Language Test (English & Odia) – 100 marks (2 hours) – Qualifying in nature
- English (50 marks): Essay, Precis writing, Vocabulary, Reading comprehension, Grammar – 1 hour
- Odia (50 marks): Essay, Precis writing, Vocabulary, Reading comprehension, Grammar – 1 hour
- Qualifying Marks: 33% for SC/ST, 45% for Unreserved
- Marks not counted in Final Merit List
- Paper 2: Translation – 100 marks (2 hours)
- English to Odia Translation: 50 marks – 1 hour
- Odia to English Translation: 50 marks – 1 hour
- Paper 3: General Awareness/Reasoning Test – 100 marks (2 hours)
- General Awareness (50 marks): Current Affairs, Indian Economy, General Science, Books & Authors, Awards & Honours, Indian History & Culture, Indian Geography, Indian Polity – 1 hour
- Reasoning (50 marks) – 1 hour
- Qualifying Marks in aggregate: 45% for Unreserved (40% for SC/ST)
- Minimum marks in each paper (Translation and General Awareness/Reasoning): 33% for Unreserved (30% for SC/ST)
- Stage 3 – Computer Application Test: 100 marks, 1 hour duration – Qualifying in nature
- Theory Test: 70 marks – 30 minutes
- Skill Test: 30 marks – 30 minutes
- Syllabus: Computer Fundamentals, Windows (MS-Windows), MS Office (Word, Excel & Power Point), Linux Fundamental, Open Office Application, Usage of Internet Operation, Communication Technology, Networking Concepts (LAN, Ethernet, Broad Band, Wireless), Digital Signature
- Qualifying Marks: 50% of total marks
- Marks not counted in Final Merit List
- Stage 4 – Viva-Voce Test: 40 marks
- Minimum qualifying marks: 40% (16 marks)
- Marks added to Main Written Examination marks for Final Merit List
- Merit List Preparation: Based on total marks obtained in Main Written Examination + Viva-Voce Test
- In case of tie: Priority given to higher marks in Main Written Examination, then to older candidate
- Chief Justice may reduce qualifying marks at discretion due to non-availability of sufficient candidates
